Sofia Carson attends Lights On Women's Worth

Sofia Carson, Helen Mirren, and Simone Ashley joined Elle Fanning and Viola Davis for L’Oreal’s Lights On Women’s Worth Award during the Cannes Film Festival.

Sofia Carson exudes elegance, channelling her inner Audrey Hepburn wearing a 1970s Valentino Night velvet gown.

The L’Oreal ambassador’s look was particularly striking because she fully embraced the era, opting for period-appropriate styling that accentuated the gown’s timeless sophistication.

Helen Mirren attends Lights On Women's Worth

Helen Mirren broke from her usual choices by selecting an Elie Saab gown for her opening look at Cannes, but she returned to her favoured Dolce & Gabbana for this event.

The British actress donned a sequin gown that, while undoubtedly glamorous, felt familiar.

That’s because this corseted style has been seen numerous times on other celebrities, including Hannah Waddingham, Sara Foster, and Sharon Stone.

Despite the repetition, Helen’s outing isn’t giving me fatigue, but I can’t say I will feel the same if I see it again.

Simone Ashley attends Lights On Women's Worth

Simone Ashley, L’Oreal’s latest ambassador, appears to have replaced Gemma Chan, who was absent from this year’s festival.

What I have noticed over the years, is that L’Oreal UK, tend to have one ambassador at at time. Cheryl Cole was replaced by Gemma Chan, and now Gemma Chan appears to have been replaced by Simone Ashley.

The ‘Bridgerton’ actress was captiving wearing a Tove Spring 2024 one-shoulder dress.

The pristine white hue of which, paired with the sandy beach backdrop, evoked the feel of a destination wedding. This romantic look perfectly complemented the setting, creating a beautifully enchanting outing.
