José Cardoso is Seydú’s father, and a filmmaker, illustrator, and graphic designer. He has developed fiction, animation, and documentary films on themes revolving around surrealism, consciousness, and anti-colonialism. After being selected for his first feature film Iwianch, The Devil Deer at the 59th Ann Arbor Film Festival, he won the Tom Berman Award for the most promising filmmaker. His work has been awarded in IFFR Rotterdam (Ammodo Tiger Short Film Award), Regina International Film Festival, China International New Media Short Film Festival, Ícaro, Ningbo Short Film Festival, Siberia Doc Film Festival, Kunturñawi, and Premio Colibrí, and selected at Sitges Cinema Fantàstic, Festival de Cine Latinoamericano de La Habana, Internationale Short Film Festival Oberhausen, Sheffield DocFest, BlackStar Film Festival, and ImagineNative among others.
Nour Ouayda is a filmmaker and film programmer. Her films experiment with various forms of fiction writing in cinema. She is a member of the Camelia Committee with Carine Doumit and Mira Adoumier, and part of the editorial committee of the Montreal-based online film journal Hors Champ. Between 2018 and 2023, she was deputy director at Metropolis Cinema Association in Beirut where she managed and developed the Cinematheque Beirut project.
Riar Rizaldi works as an artist and filmmaker. His artistic practice focuses mostly on the relationship between capital and technology, labor and nature, worldviews, genre cinema, and the possibility of theoretical fiction. His works have been shown at various international film festivals (including Locarno, IFFR, FID Marseille, Viennale, BFI London, Cinema du Reel, Vancouver, etc.) as well as Centre Pompidou Paris, NTT InterCommunication Center Tokyo, Taipei Biennial, Istanbul Biennial, Venice Architecture Biennale, Biennale Jogja, National Gallery of Indonesia, and other venues and institutions. In addition, solo exhibitions and focus programs of his works had been held at Batalha Centro de Cinema, Porto, and Centre de la photographie Genève amongst others.
Dmitry Frolov is a curator and researcher in the field of film and video art. Since 2017 he has served as curator at the Moscow International Experimental Film Festival (MIEFF), and since 2021 as curator of the film program at the Pushkin House Cultural Centre (London).
