The Leesburg Economic Development Commission, Mayor Kelly Burk and members of Town Council presented the annual Leesburg Business Awards on May 1.
The event was held at the Home2 Suites by Hilton in Leesburg with about 150 people in attendance.
Leesburg Economic Development Director Russell Seymour thanked business owners for their role in making the town a “destination of choice.”
“Leesburg is a quality place to live, work and visit and it is thanks to you all,” he said.

Burk agreed, adding “you are what makes Leesburg so special.”
“To start a business and invest your time, your love, money and energy is so amazing, and we really appreciate you and I so admire you,” Burk said.
Awards were presented in six categories. Nineteen businesses and individuals were nominated.
